Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

One of the most well known and beloved passages in scripture is the gentle invitation of our Lord in today’s Gospel reading: “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” When we need physical rest, we sleep or take a nap. When we need emotional rest, we sometimes take a vacation. But how do we find spiritual rest? How do we discover Christ’s peace as we grapple with the complex issues of life deep in our hearts? Good stewards find their rest in the Lord. Reflect
this week on what you do to welcome the peace of Christ into your heart.

Prayer During Hurricane Season

“Our Father in heaven, through the powerful intercession of Our Lady of Prompt Succor, spare us from harm during this hurricane season and protect us and our home from all disasters of nature.” “Our Lady of Prompt Succor, hasten to help us.” Thank you for your favors in the past. Please clip and pray daily during this hurricane season.
